Quick sketch challenge

So this was supposed to be a "quick" sketch but because I'm such a detail addict, I couldn't help myself with all the shading and whatnot~    This was a challenge given to me by and she challenged us both to draw a picture of our two personified characters we did for an art trade in a "shipping" moment.  So here's my "quick" sketch (yeah right ).  In case anyone wishes to see the original pictures of the art trade, you can see them in the links below:

Personify the Monster  and Art Trade-Blue Rose

My character was the personification of what a monster can looks like while was supposed to personify what a blue rose looks like.  This picture just took me a quick 3 hours (because I got caught up in the detail) and I hope everyone enjoys it and here's a Happy Late Valentine's Day for everyone!

Also I miss my semi-realism art style of manga/anime~  I was so caught up in trying to draw realism because I wanna get hired by a good gaming company that I became a little bit rusty at my semi-realism.    Anway, enjoy!
